Adaptations
Wombats have many great adaptations that help them live. They have very poor eyesight but to make up for it they have an extremely good sense of smell and hearing. They also can feel very slight vibrations in the ground when something is approaching them. They have very large front teeth used for gnawing and chewing tough foliage. They also are extremely strong for their size and because of this strength they are not afraid to use it to force predators away. In case the wombat needs to run they have a very tough skinned back side so they are not easily injured from the back. The skin is so thick it is described as tough as a board.
